Read what parents are saying about Bayview Elementary SchoolBayview is a wonderful school community that is welcoming to both its students and parents! We absolutely adore the teachers, they are caring, fun, and put the emotional needs of the children first while making learning fun! We love our Bayview community!
Posted by a parent on 4/30/2023Shockingly low expectations, nothing for kids to feel a sense of accomplishment over at all. The work is nothing but test prep and worksheets. No experiment or literature or anything to gt excited about at all. Cute does not make up for it. A huge disappointment.
Posted by a parent on 12/8/2015My family moved to Belford when I was 10. I am now pushing 40 and I bought a house here a few years back with my family because I have confidence and knowledge of the neighborhood and local community. I must say that my overall experience with Bayview School has been really positive... past and present. From the teachers to the janitors, everyone does an excellent job in shaping our children, while creating that learning foundation. All are very supportive and that's what they need at such a young age. I would recommend speaking to the local daycare establishments that are also terrific to learn more about the quality of the school. Draw your own conclusions after taking some time to speak to some parents and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Posted by a parent on 10/13/2014Nice kids, nice teachers, but no leadership. The principal is not qualified for the position, runs things in a lazy beaurocratic manner, and when asked basic pedagogical questions she draws a blank and feels entitled to give wrong answers. Communication is abysmal and principal does not appreciate the need to create and inspire community participation to achieve success; she keeps everybody shut out and in the dark. If all you are looking for from your elementary school is daycare, then this is the place. If you expect competent leadership or inspiration stay far away.
Posted by a parent on 3/15/2014horrible school. unprofessional leader, school doesnt have any resources for kids who truly need extra help. moved out of town bc of the unacceptable things that went on there. i know of many parents who feel this way. my child was bullied, and picked on and it was never handled. calls to the principle never helped either. after numerous talks with the superintendent, he asked if i would like the option of sending my child to another school in the district. he apologized for the lack of effort that was put in by staff members there and let me know he would help in anyway he could. we finally moved mid year and my kids couldnt be happier, as the same goes for my husband and i. its a great feeling to know your kids are being cared for and bayview was 100% not the school for that. very disappointing, but glad my daughter made some forever friends. at least she took that from there.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFairview Elementary is an excellent school, starting with the dedicated leadership of their principal who is intimately involved with the running of the school and inculcates a sense of belonging amongst the staff and children. The teachers are a pleasure to deal with and immediately address any issues and also encourage the child when they do well. They build a sense of family and community. We are so glad we moved to this school and wish them the very best in the future. Truly exceptional leadership with a caring and dedicated staff. Moving our child out of an overpaid private school that was extremely inadequate and only cared about money not the well being of their students was the best thing we did. Fairview Elementary is the place to be, a small town feel with a strong sense of community.Parent Review3y ago - Harmony Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal is very involved with the school community. He participated in many of my son's IEP meetings. He is always available to talk to a parent, without having to set up a meeting , or play phone tag. Teachers are mostly great, some more than others. They always included my son in the general education classes with support which allowed him to achieve academically with his non disabled peers. There are very few bullying incidents. Maybe none whatsoever. The kids in this school are very respectful and compassionate with each other. The only downside is that it's a little disorganized with parking and planning trips, permission slips have wrong dates on them, etc, back to school nights take much longer than scheduled. But we are so glad we moved here and were able to send our boys here. My youngest one is still here. :-)Parent Review5y ago - Middletown Village Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth my children attended AHES and loved every minute. The staff and administration are some of the most caring and dedicated professionals around. The small class sizes gives kids the attention they love and everyone comes out a winner. Related art classes are of high importance and give a nice balance to the school day. Best elementary school around!Parent Review4y ago - Rebecca May LLC-Spice Tree School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is a reason so many kids are pulling their children from this school. Just ask Middletown BOE. It’s not a coincidence that there are so many students transferring out before and during middle school when parents see what the school is truly about. What was once a wonderful institution of leaning, family, and compassion for community has turned into the church’s money grab. The teachers are unhappy and treated poorly. The bullying and lack of consequences are out of control. The lack of technology based learning is putting the students behind as compared to the public school students in the area. They are all about how much money they can make per family. There is no concern for student well being. Please don’t make the same mistake I did. They are very persuasive and wonderful in the preschool and kindergarten to get you though the doors but soon their true colors show.Parent Review4mo ago
