Sacred Heart School is a great school. We have three children attending right now, and they have been in school since Pre-K 3. We are very happy with the quality of the teachers, and feel that our kids are getting a top-notch education. We are also very happy to be a part of the SHS community - we h

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly, my experience at this school was awful. The school constantly made me feel like they cared more about rules, money, and appearances than they did about the actual students. One of the worst parts was when I went to a guidance counselor because I was dealing with abuse at home. I went to an adult at school because I needed help and support, but I didn't feel like I got much emotional support or meaningful intervention. When a student is coming forward about something that serious, they should feel heard and protected. Instead, I felt like I was left to deal with it myself. Then there was a field trip that I personally helped raise over $1,000 for. The school canceled it at the last minute and refused to plan another type of trip. They said the money would be saved for a future trip, except I was a senior and wouldn't even be there the following year. I asked if I could come back as a chaperone so I could actually go on the trip I helped raise money for, and I was still denied. So basically, I put in all that time and effort raising money and never got to benefit from it.The dress code was also ridiculous. Male teachers were apparently so concerned about girls wearing leggings that they would look under desks to see what we were wearing. Girls could get Saturday detention for wearing leggings or showing their shoulders. Apparently shoulders were considered "seductive." It made girls feel like their bodies were something that needed to be monitored instead of just letting us be students.Overall, this school made me feel like student mental and emotional well-being was not a priority. There were too many situations where students were expected to just accept unfair treatment instead of actually being listened to. I wouldn't recommend this school based on my experience.Other Review3w ago9 Reviews - Roosevelt Elementary School

We love the school and the town. Mrs L was amazing. Thank you.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Lincoln Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbundant Life Academy has several concerns regarding its academic quality, staffing, facilities, and overall student experience. While no school is perfect, the issues at this institution appear to affect students’ ability to learn in a consistent and supportive environment. One concern is teacher qualifications and staffing. There are reports that some staff members may not have completed college degrees or hold formal teaching certifications. In some cases, individuals appear to transition from being students at the school into teaching roles. This raises concerns about whether all educators are fully prepared to provide effective instruction and classroom management. The quality of instruction is also a concern. Many classes rely heavily on textbook-based work, with students often expected to complete assignments independently with limited direct teaching or explanation. This can make it difficult for students to fully understand material, especially those who need additional academic support. There are also concerns about limited academic offerings, including foreign language classes such as Spanish, which may not always be available due to staffing shortages. This limits students’ access to a well-rounded education.Facility conditions also present challenges. The school appears to have limited classroom space, resulting in small or non-traditional classrooms, including upper-level or loft-like areas. Students also share small lockers that cannot properly hold their belongings, leading to clutter in hallways. In addition, students report feeling rushed during lunch periods, particularly those with later schedules. This reduces the time available to eat and rest during the school day.Concerns have also been raised about fairness and consistency in staff behavior. Some students feel that favoritism exists, with certain students receiving more attention than others. There are also concerns that rules and discipline are not always applied consistently. Finally, there are concerns about transparency regarding fundraising. Parents have contributed money toward projects such as a playground, but completion was significantly delayed. In some cases, families waited years for projects to be finished, raising questions about communication and how funds are managed.Overall, these issues suggest areas for improvement in staffing, instruction, facilities, fairness, and transparency at Abundant Life Academy.Parent Review4mo ago15 Reviews - Memorial Campus

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMemorial Campus School is well maintained facility with good educational program. My Son currently had Mrs. Staley as a his KGD teacher and I can share that she is great! She is strict ,which teach the kids to fallow the daily schedule, she is experienced to the detail. Academically ,she is practicing with them a lot and give them a lot of homework regarding to some parents, but my personal view is that she is actually doing them a favor and tech our children on responsibility and prepare them academically well for 1st grade. Over all I recommend Memorial Campus School as a safe, well maintained and academically prosper school.Parent Review2y ago1 Reviews
