Read what parents are saying about School No. 1It's great! My children love this school!
Posted by a parent on 6/25/2023This school does not provide a healthy and safe environment for children. The principal and the administration takes zero action to prevent bullying.
Posted by a parent on 3/1/2023Great school and teacher who cares about each student. Kid learns a lot in short period of time. Great follow up from teacher who is very organized.
Posted by a parent on 3/18/2022Mary in the main office is very rude, they need to hire a more professional secretary.
Posted by a parent on 10/8/2021My child is in kindergarten and absolutely hates it. She throws up every morning and she gets very nervous when I drop her off. She says that there is a lot of yelling from the teachers . We may need to put her back in to private school

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn General : Fort Lee Public Elementary School No. 2 stands out for its excellence in education, dedicated teaching staff, strong commitment to student safety, and active family engagement. A top choice for a well-rounded educational experience. We have a small bad experience with my son's teacher in kindergarten last year, as she was very tough and hasn't any patience of dealing with new comers students like my son. Also the Principle was not helpful and didn't support us regard this issue.Parent Review7mo ago - Anna C. Scott Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageACS has been wonderful for our older son and we are incredibly sad that his little brother won’t be able to attend as well since we are moving for job relocation. The staff is so wonderfully caring and thoughtful. We were introduced to the Child Study Team the year prior to enrollment when we thought we had to continue with an IEP from California. We ended up not needing any services since our son was caught up after a speech delay, but to have speech therapists, occupational therapists, social worker, psychologist, behaviorists (you can look up the staff directory for the full list) - is AMAZING and very unique to Leonia to have wraparound care if your child needs it. Kindergarten with Ms. Usami was our first full-time pedagogical experience. We are always so grateful that she made learning that much more exciting for our son and really established school as a great place to go. For first grade, Mrs, Mariotti was absolutely stellar for our full year of virtual school during the pandemic. The time she spent carefully adapting lessons and taking care of students even from a distance is so appreciated. As a family, it was super fun getting to learn Spanish from Mrs. Williams and art from Ms. Drillick. ACS students are very fortunate to have such a wide range of special subjects (“specials”) as part of their regular curriculum. For second grade, students were transferring into Ms. Lopez’s class throughout the year - not surprising given her years of experience. Our son is always spouting what he’s learnt from her on our walks home and we especially appreciate how accommodating she has been through an anxiety-ridden year for us. We are also very appreciative of the love and care from Steve and Anthony (SSOs), Ms. Debbie who does double duty as crossing guard and lunch aide, Ms. Becky in the main office, Nurse Joely Wrenn who alerted us to a medical issue, and all the other staff who are part of such a hardworking and caring team. Leonia is a very special and lucky town to have such a gem of a school. - DC and SL, parents of X and WParent Review1y ago - Children's Home Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is by far the best school in the NJ/NYC tristate area. I have taught at many different large , expensive, and prestigious private schools in NYC and NJ, and Children’s Home Montessori has not only the best education, but an amazing supportive faculty and Head of School that set a positive example for all of the students . They are shown how important it is to respect their teachers ,their fellow classmates, family members, and to be kind and caring to all. This is taught even from the early age of 2. It positively affects their at home behavior, instills good morals, and sets the children up to support one another and celebrate each other’s achievements and successes! The children are accounted for every second of the day which is extremely important. It is a safe, stable, and loving environment with incredible structure. The children are taught to think independently and to be kind and compassionate from the day they start school there. The children love one another like one big family. The art, music, math, language, science,Latin, English, reading, penmanship, and grammar classes are geared to set the children up for success. They carry these qualities and pass it on throughout their furthered education and lives. They are lead by example to have a high moral compass which they also continue to carry on even after graduating. The children work one on one with teachers daily and are taught to think for themselves. The children are cared for impeccably and the faculty cater to each of their individual needs. I would not send my child to any other school. It is by far the best school in the New York metropolitan area, not only educationally, but it also sets your child up to be a successful , humble, kind, and compassionate productive member of society.Teacher Review2y ago - Notre Dame Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's a very nice school. My daughter went for three years. She still misses Small World School. The principal is very kind and takes good care of the children like her family. Thanks to her, my daughter was able to gain a lot of knowledge. And all the students and parents who go to this school have a rich heart and are all wonderful people. Our family is happy to meet this school.Parent Review2y ago - St John The Evangelist School
