Forward thinking leadership and teachers and a supportive PTO. Strong academics and character curriculum. Our daughter is thriving.Posted by a parent on 7/10/2019
Teachers are dedicated but appear stressed. Current principal is not trustworthy. My child was supposed to receive services and never did. School is a blue ribbon school currently but this seems to be due to the teachers and the past administrator.Posted by a parent on 12/15/2018
One of the best. Treating kids with kind, responsibility and respect. Love it.Posted by a parent on 10/30/2017

My son goes to lyncrest elementary. I am giving it three stars because while the teachers are good, the principal and super intendant are not helpful at all. My child was punched and nothing was done, besides giving the perpetrator a "talking to". In theory, this county has a zero tolerance stance on bullying, but if I we are being honest, it is at their discretion. If I could afford private school, I would take at route.Posted by a parent on 12/8/2014

- Midland No 1
5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSad because I graduated proud from this school and have lived in this town since a child. I wish the taxes that are paid would be used primarily for the education, school, and staff at Midland School. The town I love and is quite and safe. Great cops. They need to remember that these children are the ones who will grow to be residents of Rochelle Park, NJ. We need a major upgrade to our town in order for it to succeed and it start at Midland School # 1. When will they be proud about the #1. We will see.Parent Review1y ago

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI don't know why this school has a 5 rating. My three children went through this school. It was built in 2008 and is state of art. The teachers truly care for the kids and the entire faculty is committed to the children's education. North Haledon is a small town and the schools here excellent!Parent Review6y ago

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool #14 lacks safety, very few teachers do care for the students but overall the Principal lacks authority and direction. It is sad that the most needy kids in our state get expose to some of this individuals who are there just to collect a pay check. Bad school!Parent Review9y ago

- Number 27 Elementary School
3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool #27 maybe one of the best schools in Paterson but they need to address the problems with teachers not teaching, getting rid of the new principle Mr. Puglise and bullying. I honestly feel ever since this new principle came to the school he has not dealt with the issues. I don't feel he can improve the school and honestly they should think about replacing him. Many parents have complained and I feel he is just not doing anything to better the school. As far as bullying that issue is definitely there my kids have been bullied and no one has helped with the situation I'm definitely thinking about taking them out they say there going to handle it but it just continues. Also some teachers not all need to focus on really wanting to teach our kids instead of just worrying about a paycheck. You definitely do have ones that do want to teach our kids but there's those that give a bad name to the ones that are there to truly teach. Signed concerned parentParent Review6y ago
