Read what parents are saying about Edison Middle SchoolThe school is good at best. I am a previous student and i would also like to point out how incompetent it is that most of the friendships your students will make will be severed due to ~1/2 of the school going to Roosevelt And half going to Liberty
Posted by a community member on 4/27/2017I must say I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this school thus far. At the beginning of the school year I was extremely enthusiastic to send my child to this school, despite some of the negative comments I had heard from other parents. However, since starting this school, my daughter's grades have dropped significantly. The communication/feedback from staff leaves much to be desired. As a taxpayer and resident of West Orange, I am disappointed with the education my child has received this year. I will definitely not be sending my younger children to this school in the future.
Posted by a parent on 1/28/2016Communication and efforts to make your child an excellent student and above expectations here at Edison. My daughter is in her 1st term here and I've have an overwhelming response from her teachers in the blue teams on improving any unacceptable grade. My daughters science grade went from a C to an A.. What more can I ask for. Wonderful Mr Fitzpatrick and staff.
Posted by a parent on 10/29/2014My son had a wonderful year in Edison. All his teachers in the Orange team were very good. The HAP program is outstanding. The assistant principal is devoted and eager to help with any problem. Very happy.
Posted by a parent on 6/18/2013I am a previous student from this school and looking back I realize how badly I dreaded coming to school. This faculty members were very kind but some were not good teachers. The kids in my grade were horrible; always breaking the rules and they were quite mean. The amount of bullying in the school was atrocious. I'm quite glad I moved to a different town because the school has better students and much better teachers.

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI previously went to this school, and I have to say, I loved it. Everyone, from the security guards to the janitors, felt like family. I was so sad to let this school go, and I would 100% have stayed if they had a middle school and a high school course. The only complaint I ever had was with a teacher. She was a real pain to everyone, and was biased when I came to teaching. The principal, who grew to be an adult friend while I attended there, helped us sort it out, and intervened when the teacher tried to do anything she shouldn't have done. I miss carver, but if you were to send your kids here, they would love it.Other Review2y ago - Whitney E. Houston Academy Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have two sons that went to Linden Ave and loved every year. The teachers are all warm, caring and skilled educators. There is a strong sense of community and family involvement with the school. Even during the COVID pandemic when we had to go virtual the teachers and administration went above and beyond to make sure the students (and parents!) were not left to fend for themselves. We're so grateful to have had our kids attend such a great school!Parent Review1y ago
