Highly recommend Whiton Elementary School - Both my children have had a wonderful education & experience here. All the teachers that we have come into contact with love their job & really care about making a difference with all the children! There are so many activities & events in the town which make the town so special, small but yet not too small! The school is perfect amount of children & classrooms. My children have thrived every year & love going to school. You can tell the staff all care & love what they do!

Milltown School in Bridgewater has serious issues with the quality of its special education program. Instead of providing meaningful instruction and appropriate interventions, children with special needs are often placed in what feels more like a babysitting setting than an educational environment. There is little evidence of individualized learning, skill development, or academic engagement tailored to each child’s needs.The classroom environment is inconsistent and lacks the structure that students with special needs rely on to succeed. Teacher consistency is also a major concern, as frequent changes or lack of continuity negatively affect student progress, trust, and overall stability.Advice: Families considering Milltown School for special education services should proceed with caution. It is strongly recommended to request detailed information about the program, observe the classroom in person, ask about teacher consistency, and ensure that individualized education plans are actively implemented—not just documented. If you are a parent looking for your child with special needs to grow independently and make real academic progress, you may want to consider other options.

My daughter Ella is 18, has attended Midland for the past two years, and is entering her third year. She is blossoming. She attends girls' groups and loves being in the musicals. Aladdin was her favorite. She is cheerleading and has done the Special Olympics. She has good life skills, which the students work on daily after a morning of academics and technology. Overall, the staff dedication is fabulous, and Ella has made many friends. She smiles when going to school and improves daily. You can feel confident this SPED school will do a great job.
