The facilities at Charlotte Ave are deteriorating. The kids don’t get outside for recess frequently enough. Safety during drop off and pickup isn’t appropriately managed. It appears little creativity is applied to the curriculum. My child’s excitement for learning has deteriorated during first grade
Posted by a parent on 7/5/2025In regards to safety...The school's doors are no longer unlocked/open. They have a security system in place (door bell w/camera) the office questions why you are entering and decides to unlock the door. Every volunteer/visitor must sign in and out. I feel it is extremely safe.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is amazing. The staff are all supportive and encouraging, the school itself is warm and welcoming and feels like a community. They do all kinds of extra activities for the kids, like this year every kid got a cookbook and apron with chef hat, and at Christmas every kid got to pick a board game to take home. The curriculum is very good, and the advanced math and science tract is very apparent. My son was a little behind in reading at the beginning of the year, and by the end he is a full grade ahead. We moved closer to this school after commuting 40 minutes (one way) for a year. #worthit! This school prepared them for a college prep high school & then each attended a 4 year college.
