Read what parents are saying about Hampstead Central SchoolI grew up in this great Town of Hampstead and I recently bought a house in town. The schools are great and the people that make up this town are even better. Hampstead is a very small but tightly knit community that has a lot to offer. I played soccer all through Hampstead schools, Pinkerton and onto play College and professional soccer. I love Hampstead and hope to see more share their positive experiences as well.
Posted by a community member on 12/8/2021My children’s experience at Hampstead Central School was a horrible one. We could not get out of the town fast enough. You have over paid administration/ superintendent who caresMore about their needs and salaries than putting back to their students. Their special ed department is a joke and dumb down their students causing low self confidence. Their teachers and front office staff are flat out rude and unwelcoming. The town overall is full of cliques aka the mother’s club so god forbid you actually have to work and can’t meet up when they do you can’t be a part of it and their children are just as bad as it carries over into school.
Posted by a parent on 4/14/2019My stepdaughter and daughter love this school. The staff is great and provide a fun nurturing environment for the kids to learn. I could not ask for more.
Posted by a parent on 10/27/2014HCS provides a caring atmosphere for students to learn. The hold high expectations of their students and provide support for the students to achieve.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you like flexibility...don't enroll your kids here You have to choose a drop off time and pick up time which they are very strict on.... god forbid life happens or you want to spend some extra time with your kids. I was eventually asked to leave this daycare for dropping my son off at 930 because I wanted to have breakfast time with my son some mornings. Also the kids are not allowed to eat out of snack time.... If you like good communication from director and teachers......don't enroll your kids here Everytime I brought up a concern I was given excuses and never given a solution If you like a big play yard free of concrete and gravel...don't enroll your kids here. Most if the kids under one are strapped in a stroller for up to an hour watching the other kids play..so sad If you like to be able to drop your kids off in their rooms in the morning.....not an option here I was here for almost a year and was frowned upon when I asked to drop my son off in his classroom.Bottom line I never felt welcome here and was always looked at differently as soon as I brought up my first concern. I enjoyed one teacher who was great with the kids but they soon cut her hours due to trying to give the kids more freedom so she moved on. I did like the young toddler teacher and was happy with the crafts they did. That was the only thing I enjoyed out of my whole experience here. I would have moved on sooner but my options were very limited. I truly hope they change things here for the kids and parents sake.Parent Review2y ago - Hampstead Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur child attended Hampstead Academy last year and had a wonderful experience. This year new teachers & principal and the wonderful school experience has become a bullying nightmare. Not only are there students bullying others, the current teachers don’t care! In fact they do nothing at all but put kids in front of screens while they use their cell phones. Meeting with the teachers & principal did nothing. We will not be returning next year!Other Review2mo ago
