Allenstown Elementary School

I liked this school most of the staff were friendly! But I have some problems with it; they handle bullying, favor students, and ignore problems until they get worse! And the way teachers teach their students mostly worked for me, but sometimes their teaching style didn't work for a lot of other students and me. It felt like I had to give up a limb to get a good grade, and instead of talking to students about what they could do better, they ignored the problem. There have been teachers who have been incredibly rude to me throughout I knew them and made me feel terrible I wish these problems get handled soon.

This school does a wonderful job of transitioning the children into its 5th grade program. My son has flourished since his arrival at the school. They deserve a higher ranking than provided.

Really terrible school. The staff does not communicate with parents or work collaboratively with parents at all. They are unwilling and/or unable to work with a diverse population. The staff models and encourages bullying, they do not respect the children as humans or individuals and do not respect the parents.

I have three kids in the school and so far our experience has been positive. Reading other reviews, I must have gotten lucky with the special ed team that my son has, because I think they’re great - communicative, thorough, engaged. Our experiences with the teachers so far have been generally pretty good. Some wonderful, some a little less so, but I feel like that’s every school. The art teacher is great!! All the kids love her. No real problems at all other than the lack of a bus stop near us (but that’s not really the school’s fault.) I wouldn’t mind if they started giving the kids more homework, especially in the older grades, but otherwise I really have no complaints.
