Sandy Creek Jr/Sr High School

This is a great group of communities that have come together to form a central school. We have kids from kindergarten to senior level. We have always found the teachers put forth their best effort and administration open to talking about issues. The college courses my older kids are taking are phenomenal and setting them up for great success.

My children currently attend this school and are doing great. The curriculum and teachers are making great strides. There are a few communication gaps that I think the administration can work. Overall the teacher to student ratio is allowing my children the time to improve on academics.

I attended this school 7th-12th grades. The culture of this school revolves 100% around athletics. Any child looking for an academic challenge will only be let down at this school and may find it difficult to fit in, especially if transferring in after elementary school. After leaving this school, I found (through college) that I am actually very good in math, but when I was a student at this school, I believed myself to be especially poor in math. I think that there is a lot lacking in this school and I haven't had the sense, even since leaving, that there has been any effort to change this school's culture for the better. If you have a child who is not athletically inclined, he/she will find it difficult to find a place or sense of belonging in this school. For my own child, I've moved completely away from this region so that she will have a good education. Of course, many of my classmates were very intelligent people and are doing just fine in life, as am I. But I cannot help but wonder what I might be doing differently had I been afforded a challenging curriculum.
