Read what parents are saying about Bellevue West Sr High SchoolFavouritism goes hard here. They care more about their sports and money than they do your feelings. There is always poop on the bathroom walls.

Posted by a parent on 5/21/2019This school is unique in every way. I couldn't be more proud to be Thunderbird. The teachers at this school actually CARE about the students. I'm currently a student at West in my junior year. While my friends that attend other schools are stressing about their junior year, basically drowning in their grades and homework, I'm loving it thanks to my teachers. I'm involved in Advance Placement classes and these teachers make school enjoyable. I stumbled upon this site doing homework for my English class. Homework that I was deeply invested in. I'm also involved in the choir program and, not exaggerating, we have been labeled the best choir and show coir in Nebraska. Vocals at this school are very strong and the teachers create a family-like environment which keeps me coming back to the room 424. Some of my best friends are in the band and they are phenomenal. ROTC, DECA, FBLA, NHS, sports, academics, and SO much more are offered at this school. Even a model airplane club and robotics club- there's something for everyone! I'm very proud of my school and that's not something every teen says. If you get the chance to enroll at Bellevue West, you won't regret it. Ever.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids love the school, their classmates, and teachers. Technology has been upgraded recently as well to provide tablets to all students in BPS (which saves on yearly book costs). The building could use some renovation, however is in great condition and has daylight in all classrooms. Playground equipment is in excellent condition as well with plenty of outdoor space. Overall it's been greatParent Review3y ago - Belleaire Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a Senior Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and my three children attended this school 2013-2017. The faculty at this school is nothing short of wonderful. From the day we moved to the area, they were very warm and patient with us as we gathered the necessary documents for our children's' enrollment. Academically, our children excelled and tested top in the state of NE during their attendance at Belleaire. My wife and I also were very active with the PTA and we enjoyed supporting the school. If you are considering Belleaire Elementary for your child, have no fear...this school is fantastic!!Other Review7y ago - Birchcrest Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have a lot of love for LeMay and one bad comment. First the goodKindergarten through 1st grade kids get 3 recesses, and my third grader gets 2. The amount of recess time gets smaller as you go up in grade, but I was really pleased with that aspect. And if you get a really great teacher they also do "Let's Dance videos" or exercise in their own classrooms. Second great aspect is they evaluate children at the beginning of the year for there proficiency in reading and math. Then they group similar abilities through the whole grade, with other similar abilities. So if your child needs more help, they will get more help. Or if they need material beyond their grade level, they will be challenged appropriately. I thought it was wonderful that my children were given exactly the kind of material that would challenge them appropriately. I have had children in the school from K-3rd, and I have loved all the teachers but one. They have been calm and appropriate with expectations of my children both academically and emotionally. The principal is Mr. Miller and he has been very receptive to me when I have had concerns. And the PTA is awesome and has so much community involvement and just fun activities for all the kids. They regularly give all the kids in the school a free book after the book fairs, and always have book it competitions, and other ways to earn community sports game tickets. My negative review is this. We had one very strict teacher that has apparently bounced around to all grade levels at the school. And even though she has had parent complaints again and again, still remains there. This teacher is very strict and makes children 'run laps' if their parent doesn't sign their planner, or if they are two questions away from completing a worksheet will take all recesses away for a little mistake. My child once lost out on recess for a whole week because he couldn't find his take home folder. My child started having nightmares and saying he didn't want to go to school because he was so afraid he would get one little thing wrong and be punished. He had been challenged and doing multiplication and division in second grade, was bored, anxious and distracted, doing subtraction in third grade, until I bought it up to the teacher several times, in the 2nd quarter he was finally challenged. My review is positive depending on the teacher.Parent Review6y ago - Twin Ridge Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen I went I loved it, good teachers, good principle and it was over all excellent. Right now, there fixes to be made within school safety and some teachers need to be re-taught on how to handle situations with children other then that still a good elementary schoolOther Review2mo ago - Wake Robin Elementary School
