Read what parents are saying about Viking Elementary SchoolViking is fabulous. Our son attended K and now first here. The teachers have all been great and its very much a community school. Everyone knows my son's name - the principal, lunch ladies, paras, librarians, secretary. When an issue came up with a fellow student, everyone participated in finding a solution - his teacher & the principal. I cannot say enough about the fact that they seem to care about each and every child in the building . Unfortunately, we are moving at the end of this year. I only hope that we can find a place as good where we go next.
Posted by a parent on 1/15/2012Viking is an excellent school! The teachers and staff truly care about their students and always go the extra mile for them. The small but dedicated PTO is also supportive of the students and teachers - it sponsors family fun nights, fundraisers, and gives teachers extra money throughout the year for field trips and extra supplies. This is our 3rd year at Viking and we will be sad to leave when the military takes us away this spring.
Posted by a parent on 8/11/2010We have been at Viking for four years now and love this school. The principal, teachers and support staff (ie. para's, reading intervention team, etc) are outstanding and all go above and beyond. The PTO is small and does a great job. Overall, Viking has been a great school and we will miss it dearly when we leave.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool climate was positive and engaging with a huge focus on collaboration with families and community. Teachers maximized their teaching time and valued minimal homework so that students can be involved in community activities and focus on family. Students with disabilities are included throughout the day and teachers do a great job making sure work is at just the right level.Parent Review2y ago - Ben Franklin Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kindergartener has suffered from bullying from 5th graders since he started school this year. The teachers do not do anything to address the bullying. My son says the kids take younger kids forcibly into places out of sight from teachers and proceed to choke, punch, kick, and threaten with contraband. My son loves to go to school, but I am taking my child out of that school because it is not safe.Parent Review9y ago - Lewis And Clark Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average"Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all the fabulous teachers at GFMA. I think that this quote by Maria Montessori is perfect because all of you do this each and everyday. 'Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment.' Thank you for all you do for my boys."Parent Review8y ago - Sacred Heart High School
