The administration in this school is ineffective and incompetent. The words "grossly negligent" come to mind. They do not deal with bullying. There are no classes for gifted/talented students, just as there is nearly no support for those with special needs. The staff are undertrained and underpaid.

Good luck getting the help you need from "Special Education Student Support Services." They'll show up to your I.E.P. meeting and they'll vanish the next day when your special needs child is needing the support of a special ed teacher or para in school. Expect your special needs student to go to the Principal for everything they "do wrong" in school, there are NO para's and NO special education teachers working during school hours, unless of course they're in a meeting at school. Maybe if you are a ND native and know these people personally they will help you, but if you are an "out of towner" best of luck to you! If you think having an I.E.P. is a legal document they must follow, you're wrong. Get Protection and Advocacy involved so you have someone on your side or you will be alone fighting a never-ending battle. They have no clue what certain special needs children really need in a school setting and apparently have no training on special needs in ND whatsoever. They don't care about you or your child, they are getting a paycheck and that is all!
