this school is only focused on sports, getting rid of every art program to fund weightlifting. with the students being disrespectful and rude and not being stopped, constant fights in the halls, people skipping classes. every teacher buries the students in work that takes hours to finish, ignoring the fact that some of us have jobs and important things to do out of the building, the staff are immoral and stuck up, the principal does nothing other than stand around. not to mention the school getting rid of paintings from the 80's just to put up stupid low quality banners that are ugly and unfitting, the school is untidy having rats and roaches around, the old gym had not been cleaned since 2020 until last year when everyone had to complain. moral is i dont recommend this school the teachers wont teach you anything.

The staff and administration treat standardized testing scores and grade averages as more of a priority than the student’s well being. Harassment and Bullying is a constant issue with this school, and is not taken seriously nor is anything done about it when students come forward about their experiences. The teachers use their own morality and political opinions during their lectures, and the administrators pick favorites amongst their staff. Students are not treated equally nor respected by administration. While I attended this school, it was daily that I witnessed constant bullying and physical fights. Morality amongst the staff and administration is incredibly low, and no accountability is taken when confronted with issues involving the school.

The principal at East Gaston has little to no leadership qualities. She does not encourage parental involvement. Openly admits to not knowing her best students and is not open to meeting with parents. Very rare to see her at any function going on after hours. It appears that she is only concerned about her image and not the students in the building or should I say "students who do the right thing".
