I use to believe this was an exceptional school and even transferred my child to be there but now I am thinking twice. Oak Hill Elementary is the worst school in Burke County! It is all because of the principal and most of the teachers. I have not always felt this way. Table Rock was once an awesome school, most of the teachers are still great. The problem is the Principal (Felicia Simmons) and her policies. She operates the school like a prison, and does not create a positive atmosphere for learning, for children during this transitional period in their lives. She has one of the worst ratings in the county's history. I am not sure why BCPS shuffles problems around instead of getting rid of them.
