B Everett Jordan Elementary

If you are going to even attempt to send your kids here please read this, I spent 4 years here and it was some of the worst of my life, this school could truly care less about your mental health or how your kids are treated. The safety part was a complete lie at least for my experience I ended up getting assaulted (I use that word lightly since it wasn't severe but it was enough to be counted as assault) (it was by students btw not teachers). There was no care for bullying during my time and apparently there still isn't, I was told by my teachers that unless your bleeding or there's a fire then it doesn't matter. My teachers knew I was having a hard time with bullying but still did nothing. If you have a kid has any type of mental disorder or learning disability don't expect little to any help, as someone who has adhd the only help I given was by a teacher who gave the students who moved the most a couple adhd toys (which was very kind) but that's it. And for learning disabilities there's just about nothing my sister struggled with a speech impediment growing up which made it hard to read and speak, and guess what the school did nothing no extra help tutoring nothing they just told my parents they recommend she gets a tutor. I would say there's definitely some discrimination, I understand that at a Christian school they of course are not going to support everything but shaming people for being gay is just wrong if God called us to love everyone then why are you not loving everyone. I got in more trouble for accidently writing "gay" on my school given laptop then the people who assaulted me. I would like to clarify that I did try to hide my assault since I was ashamed but there were people at the school that knew about it and did nothing. This is not like a major point but the school is very biased towards teachers students or students that have parents that are high up in the school, because of this reason it was almost impossible to win awards like student of the month or earn class awards (not a big point but its really not fair). I played basketball and I was given the boys old clothes, the issue was that I was super short and skinny so it was basically falling off the whole time but the school could care less about giving the girls gear. Oh and I wish I could talk about the scandals they are hiding behind the scenes because man there's a ton but they cover it up since they want to let the student or teacher stay. Please don't send your kids here.
