Glendale Acres Elementary

As a parent of a student with disabilities, I expected J W Coon to provide basic accommodations and support. Instead, we experienced:MEDICATION REFUSAL: Despite providing documentation, staff wouldn't administer prescribed medication while constantly complaining about "missing paperwork" and even after they had the updated instructions, they did not give him his medication. NO ACADEMIC SUPPORT: Teachers compared my child to neurotypical students and demanded equal performance without providing required accommodations 504 PLAN VIOLATIONS: Ignored legally-binding accommodations and actively blocked IEP evaluation despite clear need ZERO COMMUNICATION: Never informed me about problems until they became crises HOSTILE TO DISABILITY NEEDS: Staff seemed annoyed by requests for basic supportsThis school creates impossible barriers for students who learn differently. If your child has an IEP/504, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere - JW Coon will fight against providing services rather than help your child succeed.

I think this school is making great progress, my daughter goes here and its showing. Thank you to all the teachers

I would typically recommend this school, but there will always be some teachers and students (Obviously classes too) that make the experience less enjoyable. I feel, as a student, that it can be hard to get your point across to teachers. Sometimes you can get lucky, but not regularly.

The worst private school in Fayetteville NC. The principal and the admin staff are very unprofessional and hateful.Most of the teachers there do not stay because if the unethical practices their leader does. The superintendent in Raleigh does nothing and has had several complaints against the leadership there and will not do anything about it.The principal is ruining that school. Find a better school to enroll your child especially if they are minority.
