Benjamin J Martin Elementary School

A teacher here assaulted my daughter pushing a book into her chest and stomach. Nobody from the school not even the principal has reached out to me in regards of this matter. And not only that the teacher denied my daughter toiletries to use the bathroom so my daughter was soiled in her own poop until she got home from school. I wouldn’t let a dog go to this place to be taught anything let alone a child. Im highly disappointed in the school system in Cumberland county and it will soon be paid off after I seek legal counsel to sue. I would t dare allow this to go unheard of or have this teacher feel she has gotten away with what she put my child through after two weeks of just being a new student here.

This is without a doubt the WORST school I have had the misfortune to have to enroll my child in. No communication to parents regarding ANYTHING. If school is let out early due to inclement weather, no notification. Leaving students walking home to a possibly locked and empty house in bad weather. Teachers are limited to the number of copies they are allowed to print leaving students without the necessary supplies to succeed. I could go on and on but nothing will change as I’ve already brought these and other issues up to leadership at the school and nothing has been done. We will be SELLING our house and moving only to get out of this awful school.

My child is a student at Bill Hefner Elementary it was brought to my attention that my child wasn’t doing so great in February. The school has absolutely done nothing to help my child no one on one learning no level up program(Nothing) then last month that they have seen progress in my child learning abilities I said no wonder I went out to out school.com to receive tutoring spending about $150 a week on a tutor. The school is absolutely no help if your child is running behind, so I did not recommend this school to no one!!! it was a lot better when the old principal was there, he had held teachers accountable!!!

More bad experience than a good one. If you have a kids with special need this school isn't for you or kids.

Very impressive school. I am educator myself and I see that teachers there really care. Curriculum is incredible, it is true classical, in-depth education. Their math is by far best I've seen in 3 schools. The only area that could be improved is sports/outdoor activities but overall school is great.
