The score 9/10 is only because pressure is placed on the teachers and students to provide high test scores. The school is a toxic environment for teachers and students. There are some slivers of positive aspects of the school but everything trickles down from poor leadership which is the current principal. The teachers and students feed off the negative energy that the principal exudes. She treats the students like they are mini adults instead of children. She needs retraining. The teachers perform poorly due to the stress they feel from principal. If your child goes here…. Stay involved. Ask questions and ask principal what she did about a situation that you went to her about. Often she does not follow up and gaslights. She has more of an authority type leadership. Definitely not well suited for middle school. One time she said “ you are an embarrassment” to a child. Not appropriate to say.

My kid went here for 2 years and what a mistake it was. He never wanted to talk about school and didn’t seem learn a whole lot. Nice teachers and admins but it didn’t connect with my kid. 1.5 months in a new school and he’s loving it, started speaking Spanish and his reading and math are on point now. And he doesn’t stop talking about all the things they learn.

I cannot say enough wonderful things Paw Creek Elementary School. From the very beginning, we have been impressed with the quality of learning and teaching that takes place each day. The teachers go above and beyond to make sure lessons are engaging, challenging, and tailored to each child’s needs, which has helped my son grow both academically and personally.One of the things I appreciate most is the school’s commitment to social-emotional support. The staff truly understands that children thrive when they feel seen, heard, encouraged, and cared for, and they put just as much emphasis on character development and emotional well-being as they do on academics.The school also does a fantastic job with family engagement. Parents are kept well-informed and encouraged to take part in activities, events, and decision-making. It truly feels like a partnership between home and school, and that connection makes a world of difference for the students.Another area where the school shines is safety. I feel confident every day sending my son, knowing that the staff prioritizes student safety and has strong measures in place to ensure a secure, welcoming environment.Overall, Paw Creek has created a nurturing, challenging, and supportive community where children can learn, grow, and feel safe. Don't walk, RUN away from this school. I am begging you, do NOT enroll your child here if you can at all help it. I moved into the area and unfortunately this was the home school for my child. Kindergarten and first grade we great. Those teachers were exceptional but have sense left the school for reasons that I am now all too familiar with. Once my child got to second grade it all went downhill. The staff "NO COMMUNICATION", the teachers" NOPE", Field trips" WHAT'S THAT", Insight as to how your child is performing" NADA". The lack of confidence I have in this school to provide my child with a solid foundation of learning is NON-EXISTENT. I felt compelled to sign my son up for Kumon ($300 a month) to supplement his education. That's how BAD the school is. Last quarter my son got a 56 in Math. A 56! I checked Infinite Parent portal and saw that my son had 9 zeros. I asked my son why he didn't complete the assignments to which he said, "I did, you helped me with them." He showed those "missed assignments" to me and sure enough they were completed BY THE DUE DATE. Apparently, my son did not walk up to the teacher and show the completed work to him. My son said that he tried to show the assignments to the teacher but was told "since your group is being so rowdy, you all can sit in your seats until it's time to go to the next block." I asked the teacher about this, and his response was "well, they were being loud and I had to focus on getting ready for the next group." I brought this up to the administration, provided her with my son's folder WITH the completed work and she told me that since he "attempted to complete the work" that entitled him to a 50% grade for all of those assignments. I asked WHY would he not get full credit for those assignments and have not heard a thing back. I'm so DONE with this school. Thankfully he was accepted into a lottery for a better choice school. I am so thankful that this nightmare can finally be OVER.I can go oonnnnnn and onnnn about the crap that goes on here you have NO idea. I beg you, if you can help it, please don't send your child here. And if you have no choice because it's the home school- put them in the lottery ASAP.

I would highly recommend this school. Teachers are very caring and always trying to challenge students academically.
