It is not about the school only, but the student diversity and learning patterns with engaged curiosity that inspires the leader, for all these this school is outstanding with years of proven track records. I am very lucky that my both kids are able to study here.
Posted by a parent on 7/27/2025I absolutely love this school. It is a great school it has amazing teachers and the school has many fun clubs my daughter had a lot of fun especially in theater. The teacher really cares about the students.

Posted by a student on 4/14/2025I have 2 children at DDMS. It is a fantastic school. Not perfect, but what is? Principal (s) and most staff are responsive and truly care about the students. Like other schools you have teachers that don't care and should retire/quit, but overall we have had a great experience at DDMS.

She needed to take ESL classes (English as a second language) which was very efficient for her. Lot of activities with the parents, PTA is doing a good job there. They improperly deal with those with special needs, never excited about school, only recess is good and some of the teachers are unfriendly. It’s a nurturing and inclusive environment that prioritizes socio-emotional learning. The teachers and staff are very attentive and compassionate, helping students grow not only academically but also in confidence, empathy, and resilience. The carpool line is impressively organized, making drop-offs and pick-ups smooth and stress-free. We also love the community-building events like movie nights and fall festival. TOur son has a mild peanut allergy, and the cafeteria manager has been incredibly proactive and communicative. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have seen this school go from a 6 rating to a 9 rating and it has been a fantastic experience. My son loves the school and his teacher, and there is a lot of parent involvement. He only has 15 kids in his class which is a great size and we have become friends with the parents of some of his classmates. The principal, Mrs Lovett, is extremely hardworking and very accessible. We love the year-round schedule, and all the kids seem to be really thriving. This school has definitely changed my opinion about public school, that is for sure!
