Poor educational continuity. Scheduling is a nightmare. Limited advanced classes and I'm really not sure if WHS can or tries to prep students for any kind of a challenging college experience.

We could not be happier. My daughter was not doing well at her previous high school in Florida because mainly of the disruption and disrespect going on and as a result the teachers were stressed out and mean and had no patience. Watauga High School is not a good place for gifted kids. I am a former student who switched schools and I always felt frustrated by the simplicity of academics at WHS. Prerequisites would have kept me out of AP classes until I was in 11th grade, far after I started needing placement at that level. T
