Great school, both of my kids love it!

I spent a year getting my son excited about school when before he wanted nothing to do with it. For the first time, he was ready and looking forward to going. Now, that excitement is being destroyed.Assistant Superintendent Vinny denied him the chance to be where he’d feel safe, comfortable, and able to thrive. Instead, they want to ship him across town to a place where he knows no one. That wouldn’t just set him back — it could completely traumatize him and shape his future. I’ve expressed all of this, and it was ignored.No child should feel punished for wanting to learn, and no parent should have to fight this hard for something so basic.

We have had to children attend Russell and both have done very well there. Our oldest is a freshman in College and went K-5 at Russell and our youngest is in 2nd grade and currently enrolled there. The teachers and principal still remember our oldest and often ask how they are doing. It really reflects their caring nature at this school and how engage they are in the children's learning. The faculty and staff are very involved in all the activities and encourage parents to be as much as possible. Our 2nd grader has a teacher that goes above and beyond to ensure our child is getting the best education possible while also encouraging learning in a fun environment in the classroom. I am constantly amazed at how much my child loves going to school here and with the renovations (new classrooms, cafeteria) there seems to be a heightened level of quality to all aspects of Russell.

Such a great environment for learning. The teachers truly care for their students. The principal has done an amazing job since coming on board a few years ago. She makes decisions that are in the best interest of the students and school in general, not just placating parents that want changes that benefit their own student. I love the fact that they incorporate a growth mindset in their students. We have four very different children and St. Joe's has been great for each in different ways.

We've just graduated our third/final kid from Valley Christian, so have had our kids there for the last 19 years! There's an incredible sense of community. With fairly small class sizes and generous investing by the faculty and staff in our kids, all three of ours excelled academically with high SAT and AP scores. But above all is character development. I wish I had a dollar off our tuition for every time someone has asked us how our teens turned out so well.
