This caused serious anxiety to the point he was so upset he’d throw up before dropoff and started a throat clearing issue. Posted by a parent on 5/7/2022This school does not protect the students. My child was severely bullied and Becky Sorenson did nothing to protect him. This is a rampant problem that the staff is unwilling to address.
Posted by a parent on 10/2/2020Many Of my children attended this school and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately we had to move and switch districts but we really miss Hawthorne! The staff there was always amazing and willing to help!

The principal has done an amazing job since coming on board a few years ago. She makes decisions that are in the best interest of the students and school in general, not just placating parents that want changes that benefit their own student. I love the fact that they incorporate a growth mindset in their students. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe've just graduated our third/final kid from Valley Christian, so have had our kids there for the last 19 years! There's an incredible sense of community. With fairly small class sizes and generous investing by the faculty and staff in our kids, all three of ours excelled academically with high SAT and AP scores. But above all is character development.
