Read what parents are saying about Lincoln SchoolThis school is fine for the average student, but the leadership and teachers do not have the resources to support academically gifted students with special needs.
Posted by a parent on 1/23/2018WONDERFUL school. Everyone is SO personable and...GENUINE...and KIND. My son is nearing the end of his first full year at Lincoln (as a Kindergartner) and we both absolutely love this school. Everyone who works at the school from the faculty to the crossing guards to the janitors to ESPECIALLY the HANDS teachers are so professional and have such a way with the kids. We very much look forward to the years to come with the Lincoln Lions!!
Posted by a parent on 5/3/2017My oldest daughter started kindergarten at Lincoln. She's now in 4th grade, and our younger daughters are in kindergarten and 1st grade. This is one of the best schools I've ever had experience with (I grew up in GF and went to many elementary schools). The principal is friendly and knows all of the students by name, despite the size of the school. The staff at the school is amazing, from the aides to the classroom teachers, to the gym teacher. My daughters absolutely love this school and their teachers. My daughter participates in an extended curricular program that challenges her abilities. My 1st grader participates in the Read Well program to further her reading skills. Lincoln is stellar at recognizing students' strengths and weaknesses, and enhancing the students' strengths, and improving upon their weaknesses. You can't go wrong with this school!!

My husband, his brother and his sister all went to this school. It is the best grade school in Great Falls and that's why our daughter goes there and her sister will go there!

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school got its rating up from being very bad a few years back by teaching to test. Their academics are not great or challenging. Advanced students are completely neglected while less advanced students are the main focus to prevent them from dropping the school's test scores. About half the day is devoted to just focusing on materials that will make the school look good when test scores come in. Not a good school if you want your child to learn more outside of tests or if you have a child that you want to experience intellectual challenges. Meadowlark and Sacajawea are much better schools for advanced children, because they prioritize them and go out of their way to accommodate their needs. Meadowlark is very competitive, and Sacajawea is more laid back and friendly. The staff at Sacajawea are incredibly friendly and kind, they genuinely care about the children and actually connect with them personally. The teachers at Chief Joe seem to be disconnected from bonding with students or pausing to understand who they are and how they could benefit as individuals. That being said, it's a safe environment. Children with special needs or who are struggling are the main focus if your child has those needs. It much better than a number of other schools in town with negative environments and openly hostile staff.Other Review2mo ago - Lewis & Clark School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSimply awful. The bullying has been a huge problem at this school and that is mostly because of the inconsistency among staff in dealing with their bullies. Most of the time, your child will be dismissed by recess aides and told they are tattling and go play nice. When you as the parent go in and talk with the staff you will be met with concerned faces and they will reassure you it will be stopped. And that's about all you'll get because it doesn't stop. It goes on and it gets worse.Parent Review4y ago - Longfellow School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWould never send my children here again. Child was assaulted daily until we took her out and they chalked it up to bullying they didn't want to deal with. If anyone asks me, I'd tell them to never let their kids go here. A lot of undisciplined Parkdale kids in here.Parent Review2mo ago - Morningside School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOver the last 8 years I've had three children attend Sunnyside. The teachers, administrative staff, and leadership there contributed to a very memorable experience for my girls. Mr. Moore and Mrs. Rausch are exceptional and Mrs. Lisa in the office is very kind and efficient. The Principal, Mr. Boyd, is very fair and has no tolerance for bullying. Mr. Boyd and Mrs. Rausch will call parents just to say that kids are doing well or being good citizens and that's something we always really appreciated. Sunnyside has set high expectations for us as we're looking for new schools out of state. You won't regret enrolling your kiddos there :)Parent Review6y ago - Whittier School
