Pelahatchie Elementary School

It is a little difficult to write this because there are good teachers and good kids at this school but overall am glad we left it. I do believe that the school has not recovered from the pandemic well. There are two things I want to mention about this school for folks to be aware of. One, they do not teach kids well in the elementary side of this school. They reinforce memorization but not application. My kids were doing well per ERA but when changed to public school they were way behind. Second, they do not discipline kids and allow bullying to occur. My kids would come home crying from after school due to bullies from older classmates mixed in with young ones. One of my kids, we are working with a psychologist due to what he endured there. For a Christian school, they do not see to the kids in a Christian manner. Again, we are so glad to have left. We hope the emotional scars heal over time with out kids but we didn't know till we were with the school to see what was behind the curtain. I would caution anyone in attending. I also would encourage folks that are there at ERA to bring change to it for the kids well being and future
