Jackson Elementary School

My 5 year old goes her and he is bullied every DAY. STAFF AND TEACHERS ARE DISRESPECTFUL WHEN YOU HAVE A QUESTION WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOU SHOULD STEP IN A DEFIND YOUR CHILD THEY ARE NOT THERE TO HELP!!!!! My child is a straight a student and has great behavior the staff needs to get up off there butts and take care of this matter ASAP... To child should have to suffer with this and not feel protected at school the principle is never available and can never be found I swear I don't know how much the staff gets paid butt someone needs to pay them double there salary to leave and never return we need staff and teacher who cares and who loves our child and pushes for greatness and success and that is deffently not there

I agree with the other parent that this is probably the best elementary school in Pascagoula. The principal is a doctor of education, but you would never know it. She is so humble and down to earth. Everyone at Central is willing to do whatever it takes to make their students successful. The school does not receive enough credit or financial backing because many of their students don't have the right last names. Such a shame!

We absolutely love this school. My daughter is starting her fourth year here and it is such a fun and caring school. Everyone who works there treats you and your child like one big family. The principal cares so much about the children and lets them do so much fun stuff from talent shows, dances, programs, dress up days, jean days and class parties. It means so much to me that my daughter is excited to go to school. And a huge part of that is because the staff there, the principal, teachers, assistant teachers, office workers, cafeteria ladies, janitors, music teacher, librarian, art teacher, PE teacher, everyone. The curriculum is great as well, it's challenging but they are learning so much. I was worried about Common Core at first and was overwhelmed at the homework that was required every day, but it is actually quite manageable. I do like that they will put your child in the class that best fits their pace. There are advance classes and classes for children who need a little bit more one on one time to get the material. The building itself is also nice, there is a lot of natural light and it is covered in student artwork, I love that.

I love this school. My son learned how to read in preschool and learned cursive, addition and subtraction in kindergarten. The classes are small so it allows the kids to have more one on one and the staff is friendly. Much better than any of the public schools in the area.

Awesome school! Love the new administrator Mr. Stewart. The school uses A Beka curriculum, which is my favorite.

This school really cares about the students. Teachers work with the parents and make sure the students get the home help they need. Also nice to have prayers in school and go to church each Friday to start the day.
