Laurel High School

Being a former student I can't compare my time to now. Too much of an gap in years. My oldest daughter goes there now and as far as education goes it's right on par with any school in Mississippi maybe even above. Tons of homework and art work. The staff however is very rude, lazy and at times have very negative attitudes and some of the teachers let it be known that they don't care about the students.

Teachers truly care about their students at Mason. Although testing scores aren't the best, the teachers try and struggle to teach students who only come to school because they are made to. Each student has the opportunity to learn and excel at this school, some just dont seize it. I am honored to say that I went to Mason.

If your child is not a cookie cutter kid don't waste your money. We have spent thousands of dollars sending all 3 of our kids to this school to have one who can barely read and has the self esteem of someone who can't even get out of bed. Poor leadership and horrible teachers. A typical teacher grave yard for those who are winding down their teaching career.
