The teachers and staff really go ABOVE and BEYOND to ensure the needs of every single student are met. The school community is genuine, caring , and all around wonderful. I highly recommend Oes school. It is truely a gem and an asset to the community!

Posted by a parent on 7/13/2015I went to OES for 6 years, and Ioved it! I have never seen such color (not blinding) or wide halls anywhere else. The staff is awesome! The principle (and every one else) are the most passsoinate, compassionate, caring, kind, and patient people I've ever met! Thanks 100% to them, I came into kindergarten slow, and left 5th grade on top. It is the best school experience I've ever had; I highly recommend it. You won't find another school like Oakville. OES! Is the Best! OES! Is the Best!
Posted by a community member on 6/22/2014I am a past student at OES. I would have to say that OES is probably the best elementary school in the mehlville district. It is newly built, with a small layout so your child won't get lost and is very clean. The staff is amazing! They train their kids well! At OES, they make sure things dont get out of hand. I never witnessed bullying at OES. The principal is amazing at addressing concerns. The environment is friendly. The education I received from here was of quality. I always had good grades. There os nothing else to say, OES just rocks!
Posted by a community member on 4/11/2014OES is amazing! It deserves a !0 on this rating! My daughter went here for several years as well as my son. My son has struggled in school for a few years now and OES and staff has turned that around. The new Principal is outstanding and has always gone above and beyond to help our child in anyway. The teachers are wonderful and always go the extra mile. We love this school and wish we could take the principal and staff with us when we move out of state.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is in 5th grade. He spent 2nd and 3rd grades largely in the Pandemic with at least a few months of remote learning in second grade. Many children fell behind in this period. This school is academically superior in my opinion- as demonstrated by my son's grades which are top notch. His standardized testing scores (Iowas) and Renaissance Star Assessment grades which measure a child's progress throughout the year, are both well above average. The school currently has two awarded teachers this year. Should he continue in middle school he will be able to attend any Private Catholic high school he wishes to. This to me, is a testament to St Francis academics. There are excellent aftercare Clubs such as Journalism group/ KSFA, Chess etc. The school invests in programs such as SFA Broadway which are built into tuition. There is access to group sports through CYC. This is a smaller school with plenty of space and the children are spaced out well. It is small enough to feel like a community. The children grow with opportunities for Christian community responsibility and service, and with Christian Catholic values. Overall a well rounded, academically excellent and safe environment for a child to grow up in.Parent Review1y ago
