Henry Elementary School

My school is not the worst, but overall the students deserve better. The leadership is inconsistent with their own core values, the learning climate is poor. As far as these high learning expectations, I'm still waiting to see some results. The communication, to be honest, with this particular teacher, is slightly better than horrible last school year. Most of the staff that I've interacted with are unprofessional. Parent don't feel welcome, as if they have something to hide. I've read through their student and teach handbook twice, and no-one took accountability for not following procedure my son. Like I said, not the worst, but definitely not as good as it seems.

My grandchildren has been attending GATEWAY MST for 2 years. My grandson 2nd year teacher is an excellence teacher. My granddaughter 2 teachers for 4th& 5th grade are outstanding. And hats off to MRS. Austin-Lindsey she’s great principal she handles all concerns that’s brought to her attention. Great job!!!!!

People would fight everyday and there was no actual peace. In my opinion when Mrs. Sams was the principal it was a bit more orderly. I had to stand my own to be accepted and survive. Other than that I loved the school.

this will be my sons first year at Ames and Im hoping its better than their last St. Louis City school experience
