Clinton Co. R-Iii Middle School

When we were looking to move out NKC school district we saw the comments left back in 2017 and the few comments left, we took a chance and now it’s 2023 and nothing has change. Between the lack of communication, transparency, the bullying, the favoritism and special treatment to others, busses breaking down constantly, low test scores, they are even having incentives trips for kids who come to school because of the low numbers for attendance. Principal can even say my kiddos name correctly after being corrected multiple times. If you are looking to purchase a house and school matters I would look elsewhere. I hope open enrollment passes to take our kid out of this school district as others have done.

Worst school district ever. Worst kids too. I truly feel like a horrible parent for subjecting my kids here for 3 years. Bullying is through the roof and the worst part about that is the teachers also bully. So glad we are out of there.

Whoever wrote the below review is completely lying. Not only are there bullies there in the student body but their bully parents. Sports and sports mentality is all the school has to offer your children. It is the reason that in the last two years the enrollment for all three schools have declined. Everyone knows what the problem is but instead of addressing the problem they're going to choose to cover it up. they said emphasize the good things about schools and decrease the truth basically. We sold our house and we left. We moved to a school district where a lot of other Plattsburg kids now live. They tell me that is the best thing their parents ever did. My son now is excited to learn again and to be part of the school district that takes pride in their academics and the kids that are smart. He doesn't have to go to Plattsburg Middle school in fear of bullies or watch girls getting sexually harassed by foot ballplayers. And I know longer have to hear that boys will be boys, and that if my son played football he wouldn't get bullied.

My school is just really an average school. I am a student and I think my school is great with academics; it used to always go to state for science olympiad, and has a very good academic team. In the middle school there aren't very many bullies and it is always easy to make friends if you're a new student. It also has a number of other of extra-curricular activities including band and sports. I really like this school and think it might be an opportune place to send your child if you are looking for schooling around Plattsburg.

This is the worst school ever. All they care about is sports.They care nothing about students only about the athletics, they have lost all of their best teachers because of how things are managed. The school itself is falling apart and the students are the ones who are paying. If I could get my students out of this school I would.
