Read what parents are saying about Parkway South High SchoolTerrible! The board fired a substitute teacher for thanking students who stood for the Pledge of Allegiance. This school lacks leadership and stands for zero values.
Posted by a parent on 11/17/2018I graduated from Parkway South in 2011 and at the time I did not realize how great of an education I was receiving. When I first began college I was pre-med and taking a Biomedical Science class. The labs I was doing in my freshman college class I had already done my freshman and sophomore years of high school. I will admit that I had a few teachers I did not get along with, however that will happen at any school with any student. South has so many classes available and they offer lower-level, average, honors, AP, dual enrollment and CWC classes. They really work to help the students and teach acceptance. The student body is extremely diverse which is excellent; it prepares students for their future educational atmosphere and career. I have had several of the teachers write recommendation letters for me and am so appreciative of everything they have done. I was not active in sports, however I participated Key Club, DECA, the Environmental Club, Peer Teaching, High School Heroes, and I was a buddy for the Special Olympics. South provides its students with so many opportunities, the students just need to be responsible and take advantage of them.
Posted by a student on 3/20/2014It seems that a few of the tteachers don't work with the students rather against them. They make them wait while playing on internet until it is too late to resolve any difficulty that the student is having in class . If they are sick they don't give them a chance to make up the test or extra credit .They would rather fail them . The guidance counselors don't seem to hhelp much either. I am very dissatisfied with this scool. Also the child development curriculum could use a lot of help and direction . Thankyou
Posted by a parent on 1/24/2012PSH is just like any other school when it comes to the curriculum and verying courses they offer. Unless you are looking forward to "hood rat" fights almost every day, I encourage you to keep your distance. Only a freshman at PSH, I've seen more fights than on Jerry Springer. Seriously. Someone needs to control this school and as of right now, that's the students' jobs.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll three of my kids attend this incredible school. Twin Oaks Christian School goes above and beyond to make them all feel seen and understood (academically and emotionally). One of the best things about this school are the smaller class sizes. This really helps each teacher and student value and respect one another through both their strengths and weaknesses. Being in a Christian environment has helped them develop a biblical worldview and mindset that I’ve seen play out in amazing ways through their relationships with one another, their peer groups and other relationships outside of school.Having a school that goes until 8th grade is a huge benefit for our family. This school has become more than simply a place to receive a wonderful education. As my son said to me recently, “Twin Oaks makes me feel safe and loved. It’s my home away from home!”Parent Review4mo ago - Christ Prince Of Peace School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter, who is a 4th grader, just transferred to St. Joe this August. She has been here for only one month but has changed a lot. She asked us to borrow lots of books from our community library and has read lots of them. She would stop reading and brush her teeth right after 8:30pm every night. What really impressed us is that she is not addicted to iPad anymore. She only uses her iPad to look up things she needs for her school. She would NEVER do these things voluntarily but now she has had these good practices ever since going to St.Joe. We are very happy with her big changes! She says she loves her school because the teachers and students are very friendly and the food is so yummy:) We love St.Joe!Parent Review4y ago - Sacred Heart Elementary School
