I have personally never seen such a unwelcoming school in my life. They do not make new students and families feel a part of the community nor do they at all make new students feel welcome. Posted by a parent on 4/27/2018Kelsey Norman is a wonderful school, The principal, teachers and staff are great and my children love going to school. : ) Which is great, that makes me feel that the teachers are doing their job successfully when students are ready to go to school and want to learn. In that time, I have seen the school grow in opportunities for family involvement, opportunities for elective courses, and the ability to give one on one student support when needed. Our family's hope is that MLS would continue to grow and allow for a high school to become a part of the education they offer. The quality of education at MLS is wonderful. We do not have concerns that our child is not on par with the other private schools in Joplin. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff at this school go above and beyond for their students. My kids are always excited to go and hate missing school days! The teachers focus on the whole growth of the kids, not just the academic parts. They really encourage the students to be their best selves and encourage kindness and inclusion. There is always someone at the door to greet my kids when they walk in and it is usually the principal.
