school focuses more on phones then kids vaping and doing drugs in bathrooms. There's not enough teachers who are actively at the school. not enough subs for when teachers are gone. The highschool is actively falling apart becuase they are more worried about kids social interactions with there phones

Posted by a parent on 8/24/2021Excellent high school for kids who want to come to school and learn to be a productive responsible adult. Students even get multiple chances to do their work, retake tests and quizzes. Which is unlike the real adult world, but exactly like all the schools in the area.

In that time, I have seen the school grow in opportunities for family involvement, opportunities for elective courses, and the ability to give one on one student support when needed. Our family's hope is that MLS would continue to grow and allow for a high school to become a part of the education they offer. The quality of education at MLS is wonderful. We do not have concerns that our child is not on par with the other private schools in Joplin. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff at this school go above and beyond for their students. My kids are always excited to go and hate missing school days! The teachers focus on the whole growth of the kids, not just the academic parts. They really encourage the students to be their best selves and encourage kindness and inclusion. There is always someone at the door to greet my kids when they walk in and it is usually the principal.
