Read what parents are saying about Forsyth High SchoolForsyth High Schhool has now gone to all computers with no books at all. Parents are now required to pay yearly fees for their children to have the required laptops and if something breaks, Parents must shell out more money, a total of $500 if it needs to be replaced entirely. They cover repairs that they deem to be caused by everyday ware and tare, but that doesn't seem to be very much. If your child has to go without a laptop for a few days while it's being repaired they simply must suffer without it, which means they may not be able to complete their homework on time and be penalized. Internet at home is also essential if your child wants to pass their classes, so low income families are forced into buying something that isn't a necessity because the school has made it one. There is a McDonalds in town where kids can use internet, but then that also costs gas. It's also the main hang out for kids after school, so it's not a very good place to try to concentrate on homework. They've provided next to no resources to parents, making it very difficult to help your child at home. I believe they've taken a very lazy approach to their teaching methods and I am not happy about it.
Posted by a parent on 10/15/2014I am a graduate of Forsyth High School and feel that I didnt have any problem with the teachers. Granted there probably isn't any of my teachers left, but it's not all the teachers fault. First you have to look at the fact that they are not as large as some neighboring schools such as Branson therefore they do not get the funding like the much larger schools. Which is why it seems like the teacher dont care. They care but they dont have the funding they need to do all the things they would like to teach your child. And for the parent who bought a house in the branson school district I hate to tell you but Branson sucked when I went there. Shipping freshman and some sophomores to the JR high for their classes. What kind of education did those kids get spending time on a bus being shipped from the High school north of town to the jr high wich was near down town?

Posted by a parent on 8/26/2010I moved to Forsyth from Ozark. A huge change on my part, but for the best. Ozark was overwhelmingly big and Forsythe was small and perfect size. The teachers are amazing and help explain things to you easier than any school,.,there food may not be as good as some but it still suffices.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDaughter attended school. No professional staff. If you are not raised in the there church or are not related to staff you are an outsider and will be treated as an outsider. When I tried to speak with the administrator about an issue he would not listen to any of my concerns and the only thing he could say is we all have sacred hearts here at the school…. Well that’s great but you still run a school and still should look into the situation at hand. Most of the kids have went to the school there entire lives and share a special bond. The administrators daughter is one of them. She is terrible to anyone new but I guess that’s okay because she has a sacred heart so anyone she bully’s is okay. I’m honestly shocked and disappointed at how things are handled. I was excited for my daughter to attend this Christian school. I wanted her to be able to attend school and stay strong in her faith and be around other kids her age that love the lord. In today’s times it’s very hard to find those things in a public school. Unfortunately we found nothing but a school that puts up a loving front but behind closed doors is a different situation.Parent Review2y ago
