Ferguson Middle School

I’m a concerned parent and I’m terrified that my child goes to this school this school gets involved in matters that have nothing to do with them they are trying to cause my child to get kidnapped they are doing everything to cause a hostile environment and they are stressing my daughter out really bad by forcing her to do things she doesn’t want to do that is a personal matter and has nothing to do with the school for example forcing her to go to office to see people she doesn’t want to see. She’s expressing great fear and anxiety over this but they do not care. I’m concerned they may cause my child to get kidnapped. This is horrifying.

We love NCCS, have been here for 2 years and will continue on. The staff are engaging and very clearly there to teach and guide the kids. The small school means smaller class ratios and the children don't get "left behind". My daughter had a hard time adjusting last year and the admin team would meet her at the door everyday and walk her to class. She now loves going and looks forward to seeing everyone. The cons are not a ton of clubs and teams, and family engagement. They could also make some updates to building especially hvac and just freshening up the look,. The biggest issue is communication. We don't get notifications of things early enough to plan for them. My daughter's class was going to help lead chapel and I was told 2 days before so I wansy able to make it. The pros definitely outweigh the cons and we will continue to love the school.

My oldest attended ASA from age 4 until age 10. It was/is an amazing school. She tested several grades ahead of her current grade in several subjects. I loved the emphasis on academics, character building, and developing the kids into future leaders. Kids are encouraged to advocate for themselves, and teachers are trained to listen and respect that. You will not find another school in St. Louis as academically challenging yet child focused as ASA.

Not a school I would send my child to. I enrolled my child in the preschool class for the 2023 - 2024 school year. Sad to say it only lasted 2.5 months. The teacher was very strict for the students to be 3 and 4 year old. There is not enough supervision for the student to teacher ratio. They ask for your child to be potty trained, but complain on how often they request to go to the restroom. My child was bullied by the teacher and before I withdrew my child from the school, I was told that my child was mute (please note: my child speaks very well, to be 3). It was reported, and nothing was done. When reported the principal at the time was the one that stated, "she's being bullied." Although this school is diverse, the pre-k teacher needs diversity training, as all of the students she did pick on were African American. I would highly suggest that any parent looking into this school, looks else where for the sake of your child's well being.
