Hillcrest STEAM Academy

I have nothing but great things to say about Wilkens STEAM academy. My son did have issues with a couple kids but those issues were resolved immediately. The Principle and Vice Principle really care about their students and it shows. They are very hands on and you always see them walking around and interacting with the students. This school has over 500 kids from K-6 and yet the Principle and VIce Principle seem to know every students name and makes them feel important. The teachers are amazing and really take the time to make sure that the kids understand what they are learning. The school doesn't have the highest test scores for nothing! I love that my son can go here until 6th grade, they have band and clubs. Love it here and I'm so glad that we had the opportunity to be at STEAM!

This school has repeatedly allowed children to be bullied and not stepped in. This goes against why Missouri deems acceptable. When are the teachers and administration going to be held accountable for the daily safety of our children? When is enough, enough?

Great school. Its focus is STEAM, lots of technology, and an innovative way to teach that keep the kids engaged. The principal there does a great job and the teachers I have interacted with are amazing. Seems like a safe and friendly environment for kids. Keep up the good work! Excited to see what Belton does next.

I would never let a child go to school here the principle and vice are completely inept I pulled my daughter and put her in Gladden she thrived. Plus being a "select" school they have no programs for children who are developed past the grade they are in. My daughter was at a 3rd grade level and sat around doing nothing because they teach by the lowest level student. So many flaws just glad i removed her.

Hillcrest is now the STEAM Academy starting school year 2015 / 2016. It shows potential for being one of Beltons top elementary schools! STEAM on!
