This place is a good place overall but the lunch teachers are extremely rude

Children's Discovery Academy in Little Canada is horribly run and fails to provide children with emotional support and stability. The director refuses to address any issues that are brought to her attention. She often blames concerns on state regulations that do not exist. She also continually changes her mind with regard to plans, and leaves families feeling unheard and disrespected. Her lack of ability to serve as a manager is highlighted by the high staff turnover, which she refuses to take any responsibility for, or even notify families of in a timely manner. As a result, there is no consistency for students and they are left without the necessary psychology safety when at CDA. The co-director is equally ill-equipped at child care and creates an environment where children are scared of her. Exacerbating all of this is the COO's complete lack of oversight of her staff. She refuses to take charge in matters, and will not intervene, even if families raise concerns. Families are not included in their children's learning, and when ideas are raised they are outright dismissed. Our experience at this school resulted in lasting emotional and psychological damage for our child that we are continuing to address via therapy.

We had enrolled our child here when he was three. We brought him here because traditional daycare wasn't filling his need to learn and be creative. We also brought him here because we recently found out his was high functioning ASD and had read that Montessori schools would help him. After a few months the staff had nothing positive to say about him and they didn't offer to help us figure out a plan to make things work better. They said he wouldn't sit still and wouldn't listen. Our first meeting with their staff they recommended we enroll him somewhere else. I am happy to report that with a secondary diagnosis for ADHD, and support from his school district, he is a thriving, gifted fourth grader! We found Liberty when searching for a Christian education for our kids. We attended one of their open houses and were blown away! The memorization and manners of the kids in Kindergarten and up is very impressive. We have been at Liberty for four years and have kids at their lower school and every year we have been impressed by the teachers attention to each student, the academics and public speaking skills they learn and expand upon every year, but most importantly we feel it is preparing our kids to use critical thinking skills, discern right from wrong and prepare them to be a light in in this world. We love Liberty!
