Wayzata West Middle School

My son who is disabled and in the special education system, this was his Elementary school. They were WONDERFUL. They really treated my son just as any student, worked very hard at including him in "regular" school actvities. Also they had the resources to teach him. Normally you hear of budget cuts etc, but not this district. This district in general takes education very seriously.

We have now sent three children through St. Bart's and love it. Surrounded by massive schools and large classrooms, St. Bart's feels like a family. No child is looked over or missed, everyone knows every student's name. The education is personalized - my child who needed more learning support after Covid still benefits from daily, one-on-one time with a resource teacher who is always on staff. Can't recommend St. Bart's enough for a great start to your child's early education.

Redeemer in Wayzata is a school I would recommend to any parent looking for small class sizes, caring and wise teachers, rigorous - but attainable curriculum and plenty of activities to choose from. I get many compliments on my three children and I always give a large amount of credit for that to Redeemer. They have partnered with my husband and I to raise confident, happy, well-rounded kids. It's truly a hidden gem that I wish more people knew about.

We searched high and low for a small school environment that fit our 6th grade son's indiviual needs (ADHD & Giftedness). We found all that and much, much more at Deephaven Academy! The entire team is more than willing to partner with parents to help their child succeed. They understand the learning styles and needs for each student are different and they are willing to help accomodate those needs. Most importantly our son feels part of a community and he truly enjoys going to school!
