Shakopee West Junior High School

We were at this school for three years, and while the preschool program was good, everything went downhill starting in kindergarten. They allowed a student to punch and choke multiple kids and the principal did absolutely nothing about it. She shrugged it off as "normal behavior," which is beyond unacceptable. To make matters worse, the principal refused to move my son out of the same classroom as the disruptive student until we escalated the situation further. It shouldn’t take persistent pushing from parents to ensure basic safety for their children. It’s shocking to see the lack of concern from someone in a leadership position.We escalated these serious concerns to the father who oversees the school, expecting some accountability, but his response was minimal at best. It was clear that the well-being and safety of students were not a priority.The school failed at protecting students, fostering a respectful environment, and taking accountability.
