Read what parents are saying about Prior Lake High SchoolExcellent school and teachers. Our kids love going to school everyday and have made lasting relationships with all of their teachers. So glad we moved to Prior Lake.
Posted by a parent on 7/20/2023Some teaching staff are okay, but most are substandard. However, truthfully the kids suck and I can empathize somewhat with the teachers because they have NO support from the administration. The administration doesn't take care of any problems until something catastrophic happens. My child was bullied and eventually defended themself, which unfortunately became physical. Everyone has limits! Instead of getting to the bottom of what happened, my disabled child was blamed and disciplined! Nothing happened to the other kid. You may be reading this thinking, something else must have happened or is missing. Nope. This was the first time my child has ever gotten in trouble, even though they stuck up for themself. Many kids said the individual was a jerk and deserved it. The teacher told us the kid was on the school "naughty list". The administration is completely incompetent at the high school. Maybe their salary should be based upon how many kids they catch vaping in the bathroom or committing acts against school policy instead of just collecting paychecks. What a complete WASTE of taxpayer dollars.
Posted by a parent on 2/24/2023Racism runs wild in the school no one in the district cares. This is unacceptable.
Posted by a parent on 12/3/2022The teachers are some of the best of the best. Very caring. Lots of opportunities.
Posted by a parent on 6/4/2022Not really a good experience. I never felt welcomed.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbsolutely horrible school! My kids have been bullied, punched, spit on and they do nothing to stop it! Ever since the switch in principles the school has worsened more and more. My kids don't even like going anymore despite their friends being there. A school is supposed to protect your kids while there and this one definitely does not care! This school and principle should be ashamed!Parent Review7y ago - Harriet Bishop Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son was enrolled in the class of a last minute hire teacher who constantly makes it clear she is overwhelmed. To make matters worse our son has come home multiple times with injuries from having sand thrown in his face and has even been picked up bleeding from the mouth. When we inquired, it took three days to get a response and the teachers basically denied anything happened. A week later at conferences the teacher states “he was punched in the mouth, you didn’t know?” When asked if it should have been reported she stated “yes, but I went home early that day because my live-in boyfriend got me sick”.She claimed there’s an “out of control” boy in the class and they are not sure what to do with him.On top of that she was so overwhelmed that she couldn’t even have the take home paperwork ready at conferences even with a full two days for MEA.It seems like they are understaffed and unprepared to properly take care of your children.I did speak with the principal who was apologetic, and offered to refund the money for the 3 days left this month, but the damage had already been done.Parent Review1y ago - Prior Lake Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs parents we have loved watching our children thrive academically and spiritually every year. We appreciate the Christian approach to education and encouraging godly behavior. The small classroom sizes allowing more one on one attention and close-knit families make for a welcoming learning and social environment.Parent Review5y ago - St. Paul's Lutheran School / Little Saints ECC

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would highly recommend St. Paul's Lutheran School to any family who wants a education-focused, faith-based learning environment for their child. The small classrooms allow the teachers to adapt and adjust to the needs of each individual child in the classroom. My daughter is ecstatic to go to school each and every day because she knows she is going somewhere that she is challenged, loved, and safe. SPLS is a wonderful environment for your child to learn and grow!Parent Review5y ago
