Maxfield Magnet Elementary School

When we went to pick up our son from school, he was not there. Administration were all present and did nothing to help us find our son. The only person that went out to search for our son was his kindergarten teacher. I literally ran home to find my son in our backyard crying and frightened. He came home by himself when he didn't see me. We tried calling the school we were 5 mins late because we were coming from my daughters doctor appointment and it took longer than expected. No pick -up. But my son should not have been let to leave since he has a sign that he always carries on his backpack that states that he is to only leave with parents. We had a meeting with the principal the next day about the situation. Only to hear her blaming our 5 year old son. She does not plan on making their school release system better since they've never had a problem with he system before, only with our son that they've had a problem. That is a shame that she could sit there and lie to us with such pride. We withdrew our son from the school that day. The teachers may be great, but the leadership needs some proper training for competency.

This school does not care about any of your children and they do not make put any plans in place to help your children feel comfortable they allow your child to get bullied and then have an attitude when you call them out on them not doing anything to help your children they don't teach very well and the ratings are extremely low protect your children do not take your kids here

It’s a cool school lol hehehehe! And if you are talking about the bullying instead of telling people to do stuff about it how about you do something? So lazy!

Amazing school! The teachers and administration are experienced, dedicated and caring. They meet kids where they are, challenge them and help them flourish. The education is rigorous, and the school also puts an emphasis on character development and kindness. The community is warm, welcoming, and forward-thinking. Students are happy. Everyone seems to look out for each other. We are thankful to have found this special place and community for our kids.
