Read what parents are saying about Elm Creek Elementary SchoolAs a principal myself I could not be happier with the education my children are receiving! The diversity at this school adds a bonus. There are numerous family events and the principal and staff know each family and student by name. There are so many opportunities for clubs and enrichment. Can’t say enough positive things about this school!
Posted by a parent on 3/1/2023We've had kids going here for years and at first things weren't going great, right now though I'd say it is an excellent school! == Ms Ness - Principal ==+ Highly involved with families + Goes above and beyond + Schedules multiple gatherings with families and kids to make sure all is heard + Is easy to approach + Is outside almost every morning greeting kids and making sure they get to school safe + Remembers who eldest who is starting high school in the fall + Helped that oldest when he was being bullied== New Nurse Marta ==So at least one of the reviews here mentioned a child receiving poor injury care and I can say we had that too. Thankfully there is a new school nurse and she's doing an amazing job. The previous nurse sent my eldest home on a bus while he was having an allergic reaction that started at school. Then our middle son was injured at recess, his face was smashed so badly he had to get a bunch of teeth pulled. She insisted he didn't have a concussion and didn't call an ambulance. He has permanent damage from that injury and the SEVERE concussion he had.Marta, however, is the polar opposite. She took the time to personally meet us since our 2 youngest have allergies and she wanted to learn about the middle child's headaches. She helped walk us through their epipen policy and has really proactive in trying to help manage their health at school. == Community Outreach ==I have to say the amount of outreach the school does is nice to see too. Coat drives, food drives, fliers about housing and food help. Items abandoned in the lost and found are donated rather than thrown out. They offer a lot of after school activities and chances to sit with the principal so you know you are heard. == Teachers ==In all the combined years of teachers my kids have had only 2 have been poor teachers. 1 teacher was a bully herself and the school behaviorist raised the flag on her. (She is no longer there). The other teacher wasn't bad but didn't control her classroom which resulted in a wave of bullying that impacted more than just my child. It was so bad some kids left the school. The rest of the teachers we've had we've been happy with. They seem to care about our kids and want to do their best. That includes the gym and music teachers who both put forth a great amount of effort and creativity to keep kids engaged but frequently get overlooked.
Posted by a parent on 1/29/2023My kids have been attending this school for the last couple of years. I have nothing but good things to day about Elm Creek Elem. The teachers, along with all the staff, are caring and approachable.
Posted by a community member on 3/6/2017We love this school. Fantastic teachers, staff and principle. My child has some medical problems and we have had a fantastic experience with everyone being aware and making sure she is safe. Wouldn't want to be anywhere else!!

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school many many year ago. But now that I’m getting ready to place my kid in kindergarten, I’m remembering all the great experiences here. Ms. Roelke helped me fall in love with learning. The teachers did a great job wrangling us for recess and teaching us to play together and cooperate. The curriculum taught me to be responsible and a self starter. This school gave me so much.Other Review3y ago - St. Vincent De Paul School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe started at SVDP in 2019. Previously our kids attended a public school in Osseo. There is no comparison in the quality of education our children receive at SVDP compared to the public school. Additionally, from the very beginning, we were welcomed by the school, teachers, staff, and other parents. Furthers, there is zero tolerance for bullying at this school which was one of our big issues at public school. My only regret is that we didn't start our children at SVDP in kindergarten.Parent Review1y ago
