Horrible place to send your children. My child came home upset because students surrounded them shouting slurs and hurtful words. Not just that, but staff did nothing to punish those kids. If it wasn’t the only middle school in town, i would’ve transferred them long ago.

Posted by a parent on 12/11/2013We are new to Mankato. My son was in Kennedy Elementry, now at Mankato East Jr. High. It's a terrific school with wonderful teachers. The move here was made much more pleasent do to the way the teachers made him feel comfortable and part of something special.

They offer smaller and larger classes depending on social skills and goals. The regular updates they provide is absolutely amazing as communication is key to any child's development! The learning itself is very fun and active while helping kids to learn independence along with safe boundaries. Our child is medically complex and they handled it with no problems, they made everything a cake walk.
