On the positive side, some (though not all) of the teachers go above and beyond for the students and work with children of varying academic needs. Curriculum is not followed by some teachers and the principal doesn’t enforce the rules or requirements. IEP’s are not always followed. He had a rough start with the transition at 16m old but the staff were incredible and didn’t give up on him. They helped us help our son with the transition to his new school and now he is excited to be there! He is picking up after himself, working on self dressing, potty training, and even cleaning up after meals! (And he’s just about 2 now). Teachers are very responsive and on top of putting the daily activities and updates in the app, and they definitely see parents as a team member. I can’t say enough good things about MSD. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was 16 months when he started here. I was a terrified first-time mom, and was worried about sending him to a school-like setting too young. Turns out it is one of the best things that has ever happened to him! He is now 19 months old, and gets so excited when we get to school every day! He LOVES his teachers (Ms. Alisha and Sammy!) , and doesn't want to leave at the end of the day- which is what every mom wants to see in a school. His teachers really love and care for him, and give me details about his day and his learning. They send out a weekly newsletter with pictures which is so fun!
