Over the last 10 years, we have had 4 boys attend this school and the last 3 years have been a terrible experience for our middle schoolers. First, many of the teachers do not have teaching degrees and they lack the ability to manage the classroom and the ability to actually teach the material. For example, the LA teacher does not even provide grading rubrics and many A students do really poorly in her class as they do not know the expectations. The Athletic director has made so many mistakes over his tenure that many students have quit playing school sports. One of the lunchroom monitors is so full of disdain for the children that she frequently and angrily approaches kids and yells at them. Even worse is that the administration insists on enforcing an archaic and punitive discipline system that sets children up to fail, especially boys with high energy and/ADHD, which happens to be numerous athletic boys. They are threatening suspension and expulsion, and actually suspending boys who have minor write-ups, nothing major. They do this in the name of mercy and justice, but what they are doing is the exact opposite. They are actually driving our future leaders away from the Catholic faith instead of learning how to deal with high energy teenagers, which such techniques are readily available to them.

We have been very happy With the curriculum, spirituality, and the overall care they give to our children.

While there were may parts of St. Hubert's that we enjoyed such as the community, facilities, and many of the teachers as a whole the staff and administration do not look at each child as an individual as they say they do. In elementary specifically you are in a one size fits all environment and if it doesn't fit you than they are unwilling to provide differential options. Staff moral has great diminished over the time our children attended leaving teachers with less incentive to go above and beyond. It is not the same St. Hubert School as it was years ago.

Saint Huberts has been a blessing to my three children. The staff is top notch, there is a warm sense of community, and the facilities are excellent. We could not be happier.

SHS can best be described as a Notre Dame for K-8 students - Ivy League in every facet of academic and extracurricular educational activities. Educational progress of my children is closely monitored - and I am provided consistent progress reports on my children s activities and advancements. The Principal is of the highest caliber - both as an academic and a mentor to students and faculty - and spends the time to learn about each student. A true family atmosphere in every sense - SHS brings out the best in my children s social, spiritual and academic potential at a very young age - and they are truly loved and cared for during school. Communication is excellent between my children s teachers and home. Technology is strongly invested in and highly emphasized in all school functions - with the latest Smart board Technology, Apple Hardware and latest educational software for: Classroom, library, computer lab as well as the web interface between SHS and home. SHS is an outstanding investment into your children - and no matter what your faith, brings your children closer to God and family with a strong focus on self and education.
