Brooklyn Center Secondary

I have no issues with the school. I have issues with the school district. I have been asking since November to get access to pay for my daughter's lunches online and I still haven't gotten a response. I even filled out a piece of paper in January in the office and still no access!! My daughter's school bus is suppose to wait until she gets into the house or they see an adult before leaving and they don't (she is special needs) Last year nobody was notified about yearbooks. I found out because I had to pick up my daughter early the last week of school and the mistakes in there.. I also called the district office in regards to my son getting services for preschool because he is special needs. 2 months later and no response. I am pulling my daughter out for next year!

Our kids and our family had a great experience a Stevenson. The staff were excellent educators, very friendly and good communicators with families. Stevenson offered many family opportunities from bingo, to carnivals. The kids had opportunities to participate in early bird choir, musical performances, coding. There was great intention to get the community and families involved in everything happening at the school.

This is an amazing school. School leadership is committed to creating a welcoming environment for all students. They are committed to equity and inclusion. Staff genuinely care for students. They support social emotional needs, as they know students need to feel safe and loved in order to learn. I've worked in a number of Osseo elementary schools and can honestly say that this is my favorite.

The technology department is getting more advanced. The teachers are all great. The staff are wonderful and get to know every child. I'm always surprised when I go in that they know me and my child by name. The administration/staff are very helpful and always make themselves available.

My child was bullied mercilessly by one student and despite her own efforts and ours no one in the school believed her but one teacher. It got so bad we had to pull her out and home school her for the last portion of the school year. She wants to go to school so badly but is so scared because of this experience and is terrified it will happen again... she was only in kindergarten.

Great school. Quality education, teachers truly care for the students, lots of open and frequent communication about things going on at the school. Along with a great curriculum, they celebrate and strongly encourage those positive attributes in our children such as gratitude, respect, integrity, building community, etc.
