9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt’s a beautiful school but definitely not warm and fuzzy. The front office staff is not friendly. Curriculum seems good. I think it’s all about who you know here.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Clarkston Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy 3 children studied at Pine Knob elementary, and I am extremely satisfied with the teachers and the principal. I don’t trust the rates given by great schools. My kids have been year after year over 90% in the percentile (Math and Reading) in the M-Step. My daughter was moved to 7th grade advanced Math class when she started middle school, thanks to the excellent teachers she had while at Pine Knob Elementary. My son is in 4th grade, reading at a 6th grade level (or above). He loves reading books and I am not forcing him to do it, he just likes it, and this is because of Pine knob. He has read more books (big ones) this year than I have in my whole life. Just remember that Parents need to put a little extra effort and have your kids to do the optional homework if you want them to be above average. Try to team up with the teachers, dont delegate their education to them.Bullying is under control, kids enjoy their time at school and I appreciate the leadership of the principal, Mrs. Yeloushan. During the past 8 years Mrs. Yeloushan has been great at addressing any concerns I have with my kids, teachers, etc.I think Great Schools give a low grade because of lack of diversity but that is Clarkston in general. My kids are Hispanic and we never had issues. I studied in an expensive private catholic school, and I can tell my kids are better prepared than I was at their age. For some time, I hesitated if I should enroll them in Notre Dam or Everest but I am glad I did not. No regrets.Parent Review1y ago5 Reviews - Everest Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Everest sense I was in junior kindergarten all the way through 10th grade before I had to leave because of the constant bullying and harassing that I received. I could right an entire essay about how terrible they treated the students but ill start with one of the biggest problems i think the school faces. Family, sure Everest may be able to say they are a family based school which they are but that is the entire problem. There are a couple big families that span out and make up most of the school so everyone is related. the problem with this is their is no diversity so not only is racism extremely high but if you are not apart of the family you will be though less us and completely torn down by anyone who is apart of the family. Another problem is the level of strictness. First if you aren’t completely sure about your faith and are questioning it which is a perfectly normal thing to do than you should never even think about attending this school. They will tare you into prices and force you to feel like you have to be catholic or else you’re a terrible person. Not only that but their are no extra classes, barely any clubs, barley any extra curricular classes. They put all the money into sports and their international students and could care less about expanding our options for education. And you better not have a single disorder or learning disability because you will never be helped with it and it will be completely dismissed. And if you have any problems with bullying good luck tyying to get help with that sense they could also care less. Everyone at that school is so self absorbed including the teachers that they don’t even bother to think how their actions can affect the students. I was so badly harassed and bullied to the point where I tried to take my own life in tree different times and had to be taken to the hospital. Now sure you can say I might just be different but i know i am not the only one who had to go through what I did. I knew many kids who were just as badly bullied if not worse. I can not say it enough, If you aren’t thinking of sending your kid to this i highly suggest you rethink your decisionOther Review7mo ago15 Reviews - Springfield Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNo special education was provided, teachers were not attentive to their students and their individual needs, teachers were a revolving door lasting only about a year at a time and classes have been increasingly getting smaller and smaller. Last I checked, their Google reviews got turned off, if that tells you something about the integrity of this school.Other Review1mo ago9 Reviews - Montessori School of Clarkston
