Wass Elementary School

Our experience with this school has honestly been five-star from the start. The staff, students, and families all very much informed when it comes to the school’s CULTURE traits. You see it reinforced in newsletters, on social media, and in everyday conversations, which really helps connect what’s happening at school with what’s happening at home. The framework is proudly displayed in every hallway and classroom, so the values are always front and center.Programs like Eagle’s Nests and our multiple service learning projects are such a highlight. They encourage cross-grade connections, build strong peer relationships, and give students opportunities to lead and support one another. It truly feels like a community, not just a school.Kindness, integrity, responsibility, and empathy aren’t just words on a poster — they’re lived out daily. Teachers model these traits in such a genuine way, creating an environment where kids feel safe, supported, and confident making good choices.This school isn’t just focused on academics; it’s focused on raising good humans. Our children are growing not only as students, but as thoughtful, respectful, and compassionate individuals. We couldn’t be happier to be part of this community.

We have two children at Costello and we have had a great experience. One of my children has an IEP and she is receiving great support and there has been consistent communication regarding her progress and opportunities. My neurotypical child also thrives!! Every teacher we have had has made learning fun, exciting and challenging. I highly recommend this school.

Everyone there is great, Principal, teachers, …..etc

I used to go here this school was horrible. They would absolutely disregard kids' mental health and personal well-being to save their skin. Here's an example. This really happened. My friend broke his arm, and they didn't care told him to suck it u, so he and his cousin wrote a bad review detailing this, but they told him to take it down or face an expulsion hearing. But this, too, was unfair. All the people on the board were friends or family. Moreover, I got jumped by people at this school and got a detention for telling people because the kid who mainly jumped me, his mom was on the PTA and friends with the principal. I didn't even say anything or lie, just show people the camera footage of me getting beaten by 5 dudes.
