Lucile S. Patton Elementary School

Mark Twain is an exemplary school. The principal is always available and informed on all student and teacher matters. She makes time to talk and get to know her students and their parents. Every teach we have had in the last 5 years at Twain has been beyond our dreams as far as attitude and how they teach. I heard horrid stories from parents in other districts during covid shutdown and I could not say enough positive things about out school. Keep up the fantastic work!

My son loves school and learning and is ready to go each day but he has been asking about switching schools only because he feels targeted. Lots of his friends have left the school, as well as there has been a whole turn around in staff! Which makes you think what is going on at lakeshore district? The principal has tried to take my son’s safety job away without a write up or warning, my son was being inappropriately harassed and my word wasn’t enough to keep him away, he wanted to hear from my son. I have written a review before but it was obviously taken down. I guess they can’t handle the truth.

I have nothing but great things to say about this school. My kids have really excelled here. The one this that is aggravating is the drop off line at the school, the parents leave their cars and they aren’t supposed to so turns a bit crazy. The parking situation is not that great but the school has great teachers, the new principal seems to be good and there are a ton of extra activities for families. A lot of the parents are very involved which is great to see. Friendly parents and friendly staff.

We absolutely love this school we had choice of where we wanted to send our daughter and what this school has done for her and our family has been amazing . Our daughter struggles with ADHD we are able to get a plan of action in kindergarten To help teach her how to cope with it at school and her 1st grade year has been phenomenal. I don't think my daughter would have made as much progress as she did if it was not for her for Mrs. Kania, Mrs Cottrell, Mrs Khatri. Mrs Lipari, Mrs Beth, Mrs Jones and Mrs Michelle Our daughter has scored above average in her testing The beauty of this school is they realize academics is not the only parthe only part behavioral and social is a huge part of a child's success in school.
