Two have since graduated and they were extremely well prepared for college and with AP credits earned at NDPMA they both entered with sophomore standing. It is a community that supports the whole person—not just academic achievement.Over the past seven years, we have had three children attend OCS, from 4th grade through graduation. Throughout that time, we have seen teachers intentionally build relationships with students and genuinely care about them. I have witnessed our children seek guidance from teachers years after being in their classrooms, sometimes even in subjects those teachers did not teach, simply because they trusted them and knew they would help.Our children found connection and growth through athletics, praise band, leadership opportunities, the arts, and weekly chapel. Programs such as Student Ambassadors, National Honor Society, LEAD, and Student Government provided meaningful opportunities to serve both within the school and in the broader community. We also appreciated the strong sense of connection between upperclassmen and younger students, creating a culture of mentorship and encouragement.The parent community is equally engaged, with many opportunities to volunteer and invest in the life of the school.Most importantly, the faith-based community, curriculum, and relationships have been the greatest blessing. Our children graduated with a strong foundation in their faith and carried it with them into a large university environment. There, they were able to find Christian community, remain grounded in their beliefs, and actively live out and share their faith with others during a season of life when many young adults drift away from it.Even after graduation, they continue to have meaningful relationships with OCS faculty and staff.
